Global Warming:
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states, "Climate models referenced by the IPCC project that global surface temperatures are likely to increase by 1.1 °C to 6.4 °C between 1990 and 2100”.
An increase in global temperatures is expected to cause other changes, including sea level rise, increased intensity of extreme weather events and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation.
Renewable energy utilizes natural resources such as sunlight, wind, tides and geothermal heat, which are naturally replenished.
About 13 percent of primary energy comes from renewable although the technical potential for their use is very large, exceeding all other readily available sources.
According to the latest study, Power plants emit 40 % of U.S. carbon dioxide pollution, the primary cause of global warming and India is also in the same range.
